Shore, Red Bank Regional Football Teams Headed To State Championship Games

Three local high school football teams will continue their amazing seasons this weekend in the state sectional championships.

Undefeated Shore Regional will play third-seeded Palmyra (10-1) in the finals at 4 p.m. at Kean University's Alumni Stadium for the Central Jersey, Group I title.

The Blue Devils have won 19 games in a row dating back to last season, which included a Central Jersey, Group I title game win over South Hunterdon Regional High School.

Rumson-Fair Haven (9-2) will battle third-seeded Red Bank Regional (11-0) at 7 p.m. at High Point Solutions Stadium at Rutgers University for the Central Jersey, Group III title.

Both teams have been outstanding this year and the Bulldogs will be looking for consecutive state championships after defeating Delaware Valley Regional High School in 2014.
