Sonido Costeno Band and Salsa ay Tuesday in Broadway

Long Branch: Dancers were on the lawn at the band shell behind Brookdale College oat 7>00 p.m. almost as the first strum of the Sonido Costeno guitar. Two dozen fans were in their lawn chairs or on blankets and smiles were plentiful,

Only minutes passed and neighbors and friends from the city and towns around were back and ready to listen to the super band, another summer's fun for all to delight in.

It has become the expected trend at the Band Shell over the decade as stars who have made each evening a time to remember.

One more of the excellent shows in the summer city, Fun City as retired producer Barry Stein used to call it. Shows there are smooth as silk and as lively as any dancer's feet would love.

The photos attached here can't play the cheerful sounds the happy voices, the beat of the drums, the basso brass. Those in the audience stayed to closing, at 8:30.

Wishing the night was not over, all were still buzzing their excitement as they walked happily to their cars parked only steps away in the lot on Union Avenue.

Even Tito Puente would have gone home exited.
