West Long Branch: The Shore Regional Sophomore class held the annual Sophomore Carnival at the West Long Branch Community Center this past weekend. The carnival was filled with games, rides, and carnival-type activities designed for families of all ages.
Attendees were not hampered by the misty weather. In fact, most of those in attendance were either soaking wet or would become wet as an army of students patrolled the carnival with high-powered, long-range, water guns. The highlight of the Carnival was the whipped cream pie toss; dunk tank, and water gun fights.

In addition to water and whipped cream wars, there was a 50/50 drawing and a gift auction. Those that were hungry had their choice of fair foods including: popcorn, cotton candy, hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, soda, and baked goods.
All proceeds raised from this event help to offset the costs of yearbooks and social events such as dances and proms.
