West Long Branch: The Class of 2016 Shore Regional High School Sophomores held their annual Carnival fundraiser on Saturday on a bright, sunny afternoon at the West Long Branch Community Center.
It was a day of fun, food and games of challenge and skills for good-sized crowd. Cotton candy made the event truly carnival in its atmosphere, and warm weather had students in casual blue polo shirts with white lettering.
There was face painting, a dunking station where students could sink their fellow classmates, a golf putting game, and music all day.
Prizes were donated by families for the drawings were held near the end of day. Three dozen buckets of prizes were the rewards for the winners, including show tickets, restaurant dinner coupons, travel arrangements and more.
There was excellent support from local businesses donated for gifts and food sales with proceeds going to the sophomore class.
