Subtropical Storm Alberto Forms

With the official start of the 2018 Hurricane Season still days away, the Southern Caribbean has spun up a subtropical system, Alberto that is projected to track over the eastern Gulf of Mexico with eventual impact to the Gulf Coast shores of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Panhandle of Florida.

The current course beyond the gulf coast impact is well inland and far from the Atlantic coastline, which is always good news for the Jersey Shore.
