Surf Camp/School Coming To Long Branch Beaches This Summer

LONG BRANCH: A surf camp will be run on city beaches this summer after the governing body awarded a proposal for its operation this week.

The Long Branch Council unanimously adopted a resolution during its May 26 meeting naming Summa Love Surfing & Yoga, LLC, operating out of 97 Morris Ave. as the organization that will run the camp.

The camp will be run at the Great Lawn North Beach this summer and is allowed to continue until the conclusion of the summer of 2019.

Summa Love will pay the city $2,000 to run the camp this summer and an increase of $250 per year for up to five years.

Long Branch Office of Emergency Management Coordinator Stanley Dziuba has said he hopes this and the fact that another vendor will be renting umbrellas and chairs this summer will bring more people to the city's beaches.
