Tak 5 Season Ends

Long Branch:  The 50th Lake Takanassee 5K came to season end on Monday, with a final 2-Mile Run, 2 ½ times around the lake.

Kevin Kropac won the men’s trophy along with several he won over the 10 weeks.  Grace Wells won the women’s run.

Long Branch’s Maria Paul outpaced Panse Geer for the race-walk.  John Fredericks took the men’s 5K walk, with veteran Tom Quattrochi close behind.  Both had good years with Fredericks having an end of year streak.

50-year Lake Tak veteran, Harry Nolan, got cheers from friends for his fast finish. He ran in the first “Tak 5.”

Congratulations to all those who competed in a great Tak 5K year.
