Work is being done along the banks of Takanassee Lake to replenish the soil that has been eroding- much of it due to Hurricane Sandy. Bank stabilization will also include planting of grass and vegetation to secure the soil in place.
The City awarded a contract to Compass Construction in April after advertising for bids back in January. Compass had the lowest bid with a cap of $441,000. The highest bid came in at over $1.8 million.
