LONG BRANCH: A New Jersey Transit train traveling along the North Jersey Coast Line struck a tractor a trailer crossing the tracks early Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Railroad Street when the train struck the trailer of the truck.
Long Branch Director of Public Safety Jason Roebuck said no injuries have been reported as a result of the crash.
NJ Transit is reporting that all North Jersey Coast Line trains are now operating "on or close to schedule" after being delayed up to 25 minutes in both directions while the scene was being cleared.
