Two People Hospitalized As Result of Separate Long Branch Shootings

LONG BRANCH: The two people were hospitalized as a result of separate shootings that occurred in the city early Wednesday, Aug. 20, morning, Long Branch Public Safety Director Jason Roebuck confirmed.

The first shooting occurred near the Broadway Food Market at 230 Broadway around 1:40 a.m. and the second happened shortly after on Long Branch Avenue.

Roebuck said two people were taken to the hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds following the shootings.

He said no arrests have been made and that the victims' names have not yet been released. 

The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office will be aiding the Long Branch Police Department in the investigation.
