Two Suspects Arrested In Connection With Ocean Township Robbery

OCEAN TOWNSHIP: The following is a press release from the Ocean Township Police Department:

On Nov. 30, Marcus Blackmon, 19, of Ocean Township turned himself in to the Middletown Township Police Department on an outstanding Ocean Township criminal warrant for a robbery that occurred on Nov. 30.

Blackmon was subsequently transferred to the Ocean Township Police for processing. Superior Court Judge Perri set bail at $100,000 with no 10 percent option. He was later transferred to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution after defaulting on the bail.

On Dec. 1 Lamont Reid Jr., 19, turned himself in to Ocean Township Detectives on an outstanding criminal warrant for robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon. Both offenses also occurred during the same incident of Nov. 30.

Superior Court Judge Kilgallen set bail at $200,000 with no 10 percent option. Reid was later transferred to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution after defaulting on the bail.
