UPDATE: Boil Water Advisory In Effect For Little Silver, Shrewsbury Following Main Break

The following is a press release from Monmouth County:
Due to a water main break on Rumson Place, New Jersey American Water (NJAW) has issued a precautionary boil water advisory to residents of Fair Haven, Little Silver, Red Bank, Rumson, and Sea Bright.

The neighborhood surrounding the area of the water main break is without water service. NJAW will be providing bottled water to residents whose water has been turned off during the repair process.

The precautionary boil water order follows a break in a water main that provides water service to Shrewsbury and Little Silver for the following roads: Rumson Place, Garden Road, Pinckney Road, Branch Avenue, Spring Street, Fox Hill Drive,Silverwhite Avenue, Alden Terrace, Standish Road, Salem Lane and Bennett Lane.

New Jersey American Water states that repairs are well underway to the water main on Rumson Place in Little Silver, and, barring any unforeseen obstacles, the service should be resorted by mid-morning on July 3. Customers will receive a phone call from our Code Red system notifying them that their service has been restored. Should they need it, bottled water is available for them to pick up at the intersection of Rumson Place and Grant Place.

The most current information is available on the NJAW website at www.newjerseyamwater.com.

Residents should monitor their email and phones for emergency alerts from NJAW, their respective towns and be aware that reverse 911 calls may be made with further information.
