UPDATE: Daughter of Long Branch BOE Member Struck By School Bus In Long Branch

LONG BRANCH: A bicyclist, who has been identified as the daughter of a member of the Long Branch Board of Education (BOE), was struck by a school bus in the city on Monday evening, Oct. 2.

The woman, whose name has not been released, is the daughter of Long Branch BOE member Caroline Bennett. She was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune and treated for head trauma. Her condition is unknown at this time.

The accident occurred between 3-3:30 p.m. in the area of Sairs Avenue and West End Avenue and the intersection was closed down for about an hour while the scene was cleared.
