UPDATE: Large North Long Branch Power Outage Resolved JCP&L

Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L) is working on fixing multiple power outages in the northern area of Long Branch.

Crews have arrived at one affected area between Joline Avenue and Atlantic Avenue that has caused between 500 and 1,500 people to lose power and several traffic lights to go out in the area.

The cause of the outage is under investigation and power is expiated to be restored by noon. Police are advising motorists to use caution in the area and keep an eye out for officers who are currently directing traffic.

Another outage affecting nearly 2,000 customers has also been reported in the area of Liberty Street. The problem is also expected to be resolved by JCP&L by noon, according to the utility company's outage map.
