Wave of Hope Draws Happy Crowd

Long Branch: The halls, gym and cafeteria of Long Branch High were a happy scene on Friday evening as the Wave of Hope Foundation Annual Carnival at the Long Branch High School drew hundreds to an evening of fun for all, children, parents and volunteers.

The crowd enjoyed games of chance, bouncy rides, crafts and face painting, cotton candy and really tasty food. Many younger children were part of the busy event.  School teachers, staff and administrators and local service club members were part of the volunteer corps that helped make the event run smoothly. It was a real community success.

Early estimates of proceeds indicate that more than $5,500 was raised.

The Wave of Hope Foundation is a 501(C)3 run through the Long Branch Schools system that supports Monmouth Medical Center Pediatrics, the Cancer Institute of NJ and Project Assist which provides direct help to those in need in Long Branch.
