The third annual Fall Festival at Franklin Lake takes place on Saturday, October 22 at 1 p.m. with inflatable rides, a DJ,, face painting, vendors, and refreshments.
Once again this year, the West Long Branch Recreation Commission-sponsored event will feature hayrides around the lake to a pumpkin patch where children can pick a pumpkin, then take the hayride back and decorate their pumpkin.
Shore Regional students from SAW (Students for Animal Welfare) have sponsored a pet costume parade.
The festival will also include a "Touch-a-Truck" area where construction, fire, police, EMS vehicles can be explored by children.
Fall treats such as cotton candy, popcorn and doughnuts will be available and food trucks will also set up shop.
In the event of rain, the festival will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23.
