West Long Branch Shopping Center Tenants Hope To Return Soon

WEST LONG BRANCH: One of the borough's original shopping centers could be reopening in the next few months.

An early November fire started in the roof of one of the stores of the Carriage Square Shopping Center and caused smoke damage to nearly every store in the shopping center located at 175 Monmouth Road. The center contains store such as Dak Lak Coffee Roasting, Jersey Mikes and Carvel.

The repairs needed to reopen the shopping center have been completed, and now the owners are looking to start moving back in.

West Long Branch Zoning Officer James Miller said he has received permits from Jersey Mike's, Carvel, Nail Limited and Dak Lak Coffee Roasting.

Miller said he has also been in contact with the owners of Arts Embroidery, 250 Y Cleaners and Anna's Flowers & Gifts, but has not yet received permits from them.

He did not have an exact timeline for when the businesses will reopen.
