Some Willow and Chelsea Ave. residents are not happy that Long Branch Planning Board is looking to allow two buildings, one four and the other five stories high, built on the former St. John The Baptist Church Property. The plan presented calls for a combined 104 residential units in two buildings.
Concerns from some residents were the size of the buildings within a primarily single and two-family home neighborhood, with the school and a few local businesses. The height of the structures compared to surround buildings was also a concern.
Another is the narrowness of the two streets since both buildings would be across from each other on Willow with the larger one having frontage on Morris.
They were especially concerned about traffic when school sessions begin and end.
