WLB: 'All My Loving' for BeatleMania

A Hard Day's Night at Franklin Park - Beatlemania closes WLB Summer Concert Series at Franklin Lake

West Long Branch:  Paul, John, George and Ringo - the BeatleMania Stage Show – took Franklin Lake over on Friday evening as the 2012 Concert Series came to a close. The act was brought back after a well-received production last year.  It was the right move for the Recreation Committee’s schedule as 300 fans again filled the park.

There was a certain magic in the warm evening air, eyes focused on the stage and voices softly singing along with familiar lyrics all knew so well.  “Love me do”, “I Want to Hold Your Hand” captured even the youngest in the audience by the parents’ music. 

Mayor Janet Tucci welcomed the crowd with a wish that all would pause and remember US Astronaut Neil Armstrong when the full moon came into view. “He is an American hero. He was buried today,” she said. “Let’s take a moment to remember him,” she said.
