Wyckoff Road Paving Will Cause Night Closures

EATONTOWN: A section of Wyckoff Road will be closed two days next week while crews perform top paving work.

Lucas Brothers, Inc. will be top paving the intersection of Wyckoff Road and South Street from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 24.

Wyckoff Road will be closed during these in an easterly direction on the 23rd and a westerly direction of the 24th. All work is weather-dependant.

Detour signs will be posted and access to residences and businesses in the area will be allowed. However, motorists should expect delays during the time of the project.

Borough Engineer David Marks told the Eatontown Council last week that the paving was coming and the council agreed that doing the paving at night would ease the burden on residents and businesses.

Marks said the work is part of the county's ongoing project to improve the condition and traffic flow of Wyckoff Road. He said the traffic light installed at the intersection of Wyckoff Road and South Street is now operational.
